Take Me Outside Day Lady Bugs

The Lady Bug group enjoyed take me outside day! We packed our wagon and headed out to our forests in the back of the school. We read stories in the morning and drew pictures of what we seen in the forest. The Kinders chose to play hide and seek for most of the morning so we did just that. We came inside for lunch and then headed right back out at 1 pm. We enjoyed snack outside as well, in the am and in the pm. The Kinders spotted a cat and were very interested in it but it quickly ran away from us. They decided to make a cat trap! They collected sticks from the bushes, used a tarp for the roof. They even sprinkled water from their water bottles and pretended it was milk. I had many activities planned for the children and this is what they wanted to spend most of their time on. I fully supported this play and the children were very grateful! Our cat trap is still there and the children love to go check it everyday to see if they got the cat!
