Height has been something that the afternoon Kinders have been interested in. It all started with a meter stick and an idea. They started measuring eachothers heights. Sara did an activity with them where they figured out how many kinders it would take to create the height of various things or animals. For example, it takes seven and a half Kinders to measure the length of our room, and a T-Rex would be approximately six Kinders tall. Interesting!

Science experiements are activities that the Kinders absolutely love. Well who wouldn't? Today, we mixed baking soda, vinegar, and of course, color! First, I asked the Kinders what they thought those ingredients would create. A lot of them predicted chocolate cake (nice try). What we found was that those ingredients made mini color explosions, which was just as fun but probably not as tasty.

The Kinders have been learning about friendship and what it means to be a friend. Showing kindness, sharing, and having fun together were some of things the Kinders talked about when we asked them what it means. For Thursday's activity, Sara had a bracelet making activity. They each made a bracelet for themselves and one for a friend. 

We spent a good portion of our morning playing outside on Thursday. As soon as we got outside, the Kinders got right to playing the famous game 'what time is it, Mr. Wolf?' It was nice to be able to get lots of fresh air and to play outside again. They were able to run and yell and do things that they can't do indoors.

The deep freeze had finally broke! As soon as our day started, we put on our outdoor gear and headed outside. The Kinders all went towards our forested area and quickly became explorers. They were trying to find the bunny that made a lot of tracks back there. I am so thankful we got the chance to spend almost the entire afternoon outdoors.

Our morning was spent by showing all of the items we either got for christmas, or just toys we love from home. Afterwards, the Kinders had a blast sharing their toys with everyone. This is definitely a day we all look forward to once a month!
