The day finally came! The day the Kinders decorated the christmas tree. They had been asking me for days when they could start. Here are pictures of both groups putting ornaments on our lovely tree.

iBoth AM and PM groups went for bowling field trips and it's definately something that they would like to do again. They all did really well and were encouraging to one another. They also really liked the fact that we took Winnipeg Transit there. They love the bus!

The Afternoon Kinders have been learning about Transformation. The way things blend, mix and change. As part of this learning we did a water and ice activity. On Wednesday, the Kinders each picked a small animal to put into a balloon with water and into the freezer they went! On Friday, we put some water in the water table and put in our frozen friends! 'They are going to sink!' One Kinder said. 'They are going to melt!' Said another. All our ice melted and we discussed why. Even though the ice was in water, it is still warmer than the freezing cold freezer. Then the Kinders enjoyed playing in the water table. It was a solid way to spend a Friday afternoon.

The Morning Kinders have been busy learning about pets and pet care so this morning transformed the Housekeeping area into an Animal Hospital! The kids made signs, set up beds for the animals, got bandages ready in case of any breaks/injuries, set up an x-ray station and assigned roles to each other. Some were veterinarians, nurses, x-ray techs, and owners of the pets being treated. There was even a little blood lab for the animals to get tested. The hospital was very busy!
