Today's lunchtime activity was playing a christmas toss. The Kinders threw snowflakes and candy canes into two pots. The competition was friendly and the Kinders were very encouraging to one another. They love being active and they are always happy when they get to throw something.

The Kinders spent the morning helping toy animals escape from frozen balloons. They were quite shocked when they realized that there were animals inside. So they used warm water, salt, scissors and their imaginations to rescue the poor things.
Everyone had a great time seeing Santa and telling him all of the things they would like for christmas. Thank you Santa for the candy canes and special magic glasses!
Thank you everyone for coming to our Kinder event! It's always nice to see lots of parents coming in to check things out. Also, thank you for cutting out your handprints for our wreath. It looks wonderful, and the kinders are really happy that their parents hands are apart of it.
At cirlce time, some of the Kinders had said that they went to the Holiday Train this year. They were quite excited about it. A few of the Kinders had said they never saw it, so we decided to make our own holiday train and it was sure a success!
It was a cold day, but we braved the wind for a visit to see the man with a big white beard and rosy cheeks! The Kinders enjoyed their time and were all very excited, even us adults.
We spent the afternoon creating a hockey arena in our block area and playing in it. One team was the Oilers, because Noah was sporting their jersey. The other team was Monsters because Elliott had a shirt with a monster on it. I didn't know everyone was so excited over hockey but of course they are. We're all Canadian!
The Kinders and myself are very proud of what we accomplished. Thank you to all of our generous families who donated warm items for the less fortunate this year! We received 31 coats, 15 pairs of ski pants, 36 pairs of mitts, 62 hats, 15 scarves, 18 pairs of boots, and 2 pairs of socks. For those of you like me (who are not so good with quick math) thats 179 items! We cannot wait to do this again next year.
