The Kinder's got to explore the Children's Museum this week for a cool "I Love To Read Month" program called Swirling Stories. This involved listening to a story about different ways to write a story and then creating our own Idea Jars! The jars have different pictures in them so that when you shake them up, you can come up with new and silly stories using the pictures shown as a start to each story. After the activity, we stayed at the museum to check more fun stuff including the illusion slide, train, water station and lasagna play structure.

Today the Caterpillar group had a special visitor!!! SNOW WHITE came to read some stories to the class. Snow White also shared her very own story about herself and her 7 dwarves! Such a fun way to celebrate the love of reading for ‘I Love to Read Month!’
The weather has been extra chilly lately and unfortunately we have been stuck inside! This week we have been challenging ourselves to find new and exciting ways to get moving and get rid of all the extra energy we have! Today we made an obstacle course in the classroom!
Not only did this allow us to get some energy out, but it also allowed us to practice some gross motor skills such as balancing, tossing, climbing, hand/eye coordination, different kinds of jumps, and body awareness! As many Winnipegers know, our very own Winnipeg Blue Bombers won the Grey Cup this past season! We were lucky enough to get to see the Grey Cup for ourselves today at Kindercare! Such a cool experience and the children were VERY excited to be apart of it!
