For almost a month now we have been enjoying our new class pets. Stick bugs! We received them from another child care centre for free. The children are enjoying taking care of them everyday. They help clean the tank, feed the bugs and spray the tank to keep it from drying out. All the children have been participating and it's a great way for the children to learn how to take care of another living creature. 

The Caterpillar group was in the mood to decorate some clothing that they had brought in for the Winnipeg Jets White Out. The Jets may be out of the play offs but the children still enjoyed decorating, even if it was not Winnipeg Jets related anymore. 

The Lady Bugs had been collecting pieces for their guitars for a few weeks and were finally able to build them. This art project was inspired by the book "Gus and Me" by Keith Richards. The children were inspired to create their own guitars after we read the book together. The photos below are of the process in making the guitars.
