We pulled out our fishing nets and went fishing for the morning. The Kinders enjoyed this activity and took many turns to lure the fish into their nets.

Our trip to the Forks was quite an adventure! We missed our transfer by a mere two minutes and the train station was being evacuated just as we got there but we didn't let anything get us down! A highlight of our trip was the lookout. Many of us said it made our tummies feel funny but the view from up there was pretty awesome.
We spent our afternoon at the Forks and it was a blast. The weather felt so warm and the snow was melting. We all played hide and seek for a good chunk of our time and had snack in a row boat at the play structure. An afternoon well spent!
On Wednesday after lunch time, the afternoon Kinders got their 'sillys' out by popping popcorn using balls and a giant parachute. As you can tell by the photos that were captured, it looked like a ton of fun!
On last Thursday, we had Andrew Micklefield, the MLA for Rossmere come visit and read us a story for "I love to read" month. He came during our snack time and our Kinders were very accommodating. Lexie told him to pull up a chair and Damian offered him a grilled cheese sandwich. Andrew joined in on our snack table conversation which was really cool. When snack was done, we all moved to the library to listen to Andrew's story. He read "The Inventor's Secret" and the Kinders couldn't take their eyes off him. Andrew gave us the book afterwards to add to our collection!
In the spirit of "I love to read" month, the Kinders had the privilege of hearing not one, not two, but three stories read by Jill Officer (Camryn's mom). The Kinders paid close attention and got to hold her gold medal that she won for curling in the 2014 Olympics! We all got to hold it. It was very exciting.
Some of you may have heard our Kinders became famous on the radio Tuesday morning as they got the chance to say hello over the air. Pamela Roz gave us a tour of the QX 104 radio station and we got to meet the people with those familiar voices that we hear. Tyler had the biggest smile on his face when he sang a song with the famous Brody of the morning show. Everyone at the station made the Kinders feel so special and gave each of them one of their "cash cows" stuffed toys. It was certainly a memorable field trip and a big thank you to the staff there who made it so special for the Kinders.
The afternoon Kinders had a great time touring the fire hall. Sitting in the fire truck was definitely a favourite for all the Kinders. The Kinders had been learning about safety and fire safety for the past month so they were already knowledgable in what the fire fighters had to say. The flashing lights were another highlight of their trip.
This past Monday, the Kinders got the chance to meet some firefighters at a local fire station. They were completely surprised that a huge "banana" boat could fit in such a small bag! Damian even had the opportunity to wear some fire fighter gear, which I'm sure is something he will remember for a long time.
