On a recent trip to the Oak Hammock Marsh, the Dawn and Dusk kids had some new and exciting experiences!
They snow-shooed through the frozen marshlands identifying animal tracks, and they learned all about which critters hibernate and which are still active in a Manitoba winter. They felt fox, beaver, and weasel pelts, and learned a few new outdoor games. The kids even had a chance to make little paper helicopter leafs to launch from the second floor of the Interpretive Centre. The more we learn about the wonders of winter, the more we enjoy it!
