In the kinder room the 4/5 girls and drew a tree. Each child was given the opportunity to write their name on a leaf. 

It is that time of year where we go outside to have fun in the sun with nature. This time we had set up to play four square. The children love it because it has been a while since we were able to play!

Full Gym takes on many different looks through each passing week. One game however, seems to be a go to favorite that is always a hit. Pin ball dodge balls the name and knocking down pins is the game. Divided into two teams, each take turns either protecting their own pins from being knocked over or taking aim at their opponents pins. The rules are simple, first team to successfully knock over the other teams pins wins. Ready? Game On!

In PM Building and Construction, we have been busy with plank construction. We have been creating connecting bridges. Below we have one sample of the few that were made. We also have a great soccer field, when done it also had another stand for seats. We have different versions on marble runs made from planks. Last we have a tower and city made from blocks.

During AM Everybody Outside, Tag is always a fun classic game that many of the children enjoy.  Tag can be played in many different ways and in many different places.  On Wednesday morning a tag game was organized in the field.  This variation of tag that was played was called Poison Tag.  Poison Tag is when someone was tagged and had to hold the spot they were tagged in until they tagged another person.  The children had fun playing this tag variation.

We love Zumba! Here is a short video of our first session!

70 minutes was all it took for us to walk our way to Bunns Creek for our in-service adventure. We spent the day critter dipping, exploring the forest, building forts, lounging in hammocks and a few children tried whittling. We had a great time and definitely appreciated the bus ride home.

The AM gym is a place where I encourage the children to participate in games that I have planned for them that day. Sometimes I let them have a free-play day or play different games such as Basketball, Hola hoop, and both Terminator dodgeball or Terminator tag. -Charlyne Bakundukize 

The children have a great imagination. The boys had a box of random parts and they made a fort complete with sling shots and guns . They used elastics, sticks and closepins to make their slingshots and guns.

For art this morning we did some wreath art. I put out some small wreaths, ribbons, flowers, pipe cleaners and string. The children were amazing with some of the ideas they came up with. We had some children using the wreaths and making dream catchers, some made glasses for themselves, some made headphones and some just decorated them. They had so much fun, sitting with each other ,engaged in conversations and sharing ideas.
