Construction season has begun and there is no better place to see projects on the go. A recent surge in building towers has swept over the building and construction area. A mix of building materials and marked safe zones allow for creativity to grow higher and higher. Once the structures are complete, they come tumbling down with as much excitement as it took to build them. We can't wait for our architects to design more additions to the skyline of Dawn and Dusk city.

Dodgeball club is wrapping up and we've had a lot of fun. We've ducked and dodged through a variety of games such as terminator and elimination dodgeball. The most requested to start each club day was of course pin dodgball depicted here in the recent photos. This photo set also includes a new variation of an old game of British Bulldog where instead of tagging a person, you throw dodgeballs to tag them out. Dodgeball may be going away for awhile to make room for another gym club but it will be back so stay alert because you'll want to see it coming.
Movie making club is coming to an end. The children have been asking everyday to finish their movies. Wednesday's is our day to make the movies. Last week we took the club outside. We had a few trial and error periods outside. For example, paper flying away, props falling over and so on. We weathered through the strong winds and made it through. I am hoping to be able to post some of their movies on the website within the next few weeks. Stay tuned! On Wednesday May 22, 2019 in Building and Construction we had a lot of play happening such as lego, magnetic blocks and foam tiles. With the lego the children were building spaceships, on the second picture he was playing house and on the last picture she was building a house to sleep in. The children seem to be enjoy their play and being creators. -Charlyne
Oh snap! It's photography club! When you give a child a camera, some pretty amazing things happen. They take pictures of what they find interesting, beautiful, or silly. If you've ever been curious about how your child sees the world, try this for yourself! You'll be amazed and inspired by some of the things they find on the other side of the camera lens. All of these images were taken through the eyes of a child. EVERYBODY OUTSIDE
We had nice weather this week. Most of the children enjoyed going outside, morning and afternoon. All areas were opened and snack was offered also outside. At tarmac, I was excited to see some children throwing beanbags and counting how many they had inside of the hula hoop. In the forest, some boys were preparing salad on the plate and picking up leaves from the trees. The girls were making fire by collecting sticks and gathering them on the fabric. The kids were pretty pumped for the return of the Slack Lines in the forest! Some were trying them for the first time, and some were old pro's - but everyone who tried gave it their best shot, and everyone successfully made it from one end to the other. What a fun way to flex those gross motor skills! One morning In building and construction the children started a Zoo. That afternoon I brought the animals and wood blocks to see how they play would continue. One child did continue making a zoo while another child collected sticks to make a camp fire and put farm animals around it. some children just enjoyed playing with the animals. -Amy
Our most recent addition to the AM Gym sessions is a highly asked for set of games. The demand being so high that we've decided to dedicate a club that specializes in just that, dodgeball. It is a weekly club that includes a variety of dodgeball related games. This weeks photos show the much loved pin dodgeball. It includes two teams facing off against each other to protect their teams pins from being knocked down. It's a game that can be won in minutes or provide endless back and forths of anxious excitement.
