For our June 24th in-service we all headed to the Forks for the day. Here's some pictures from the "G2 Crew" having fun enjoying a walk across the beautiful Provencher Bridge, exploring the old St. B cathedral, and seeing Louis Riel's memorial site. Before we headed to the cathedral I brought the Crew to a secret spot on the river path with a baffling occurrence; When you stand in this little square, it sounds like you're speaking into a microphone! Take one step outside of this spot and the effect is gone! It's a little secret that most people don't know about, and now your kids are in on it ;)
What a great way to spend a Monday! - Jen

Photography club has really clicked with the D&D kids! The photos in this blog were taken after I handed out the cameras and let them loose for the afternoon. Take a look at the angles, colors, and the content they've caught! I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I was!
- Jen We have been having alot of fun outdoors. For my activities I had freezer paint popsicles and for my other activity we were blowing bubbles. For the popsicle painting I froze paint in popsicle trays and when we took them outside we had to let them unthaw for a minute and then we painted some very beautiful pictures. For my other activity I did some bubble blowing. We had different sizes of bubble blowers and we got some very big bubbles. These activities the children really enjoyed. -Vera
YARN CLUB
Over the last three weeks every Tuesday morning, some of the children joined us outside and enjoyed making yarn pompoms with their fingers. They were interested to make also tassels by first wrapping yarn around cardboard. They also had an opportunity to use two popsicle sticks in making God,s eyes. Each time we had yarn club, children could make two or three crafts and they would always ask me to bring the yarn outside. Look and see on those photos, how they were motivated to do their artwork. Chantal Here's a few wonderful pictures from a sunny morning of play before school. Fueled by a healthy breakfast thanks to Sarah K. the Dawn & Dusk kids are ready to climb the highest peaks and shine their brightest smiles.
- Jen A mud puddle is more than just a mud puddle to the Dawn & Dusk kids. - it's a raging river they need to cross. It's a mysterious body of water hiding sea creatures. It's an obstacle course. And above all, it's a daring opportunity to exercise our bravery and skills. And should we fall? Well, the muck can be washed out, but these memories will last for years.
