A Story About How Surviving in the Woods Means Working as a Team

After a long tough walk through the deep, deep snow we finally made it into the woods. Four children started to shovel up the snow, gather sticks and make a home base to keep warm. “Make the walls high, so that it’ll be warmer in here” said one, “Oh yeah, good idea” added another.
More gathered around the fire pit, “look, you rub the sticks together like this to make fire” one stated. “Ok, once the fire burns out, we will go hunt some deer or maybe some rabbits for food” added another.
The boys finished their nights work, then headed to the home base for some rest so that they could be well rested in the morning. “Ok, another day of work!” R said with a smile as he marched out of the base.
The boys started their morning off by veering off into the far part of the woods hoping that they would be able to spot some wild animals. “WE GOT SOMETHING,” K yelled while waving the others down, “I SEE A BEAR SLEEPING OVER THERE, COME ON GUYS” he added. The others ran over and observed. “Yeah, guys come here! We need all help from all our friends, it looks heavy… H and K help me get this bear on the sled, we will need something really strong to pry this up!” N said. The boys pushed, and pulled but couldn’t lift the bear up into the sled. “Ok, lets gather all the sticks we can to take back to the base to make it more stable!” N exclaimed. H, K, H and R piled up the sticks one by one into the sled. N on the other hand, got distracted by some foot prints, “Look over here, I see tiny foot prints, come follow them it has to be around here somewhere!”
The boys could feel their energy running low, and Kayden suggested that they get some rest for tomorrows adventure. After a good nights rest they got up and went back to work. Nash decided to enhance their lookout location by camouflaging the hole so animals didn't suspect anything.
Once the lookout was complete, it was time to take a break as their arms and legs were tired from all the hard work. They decided to pack it in for the evening and go back the next day to continue on this fun adventure as a team!
