On Wednesday Club 4/5 took a walk to the thrift store to gather materials for a scarecrow building competition they will be having on Friday.
Groups split into "girls team and boys team", grabbed a reusable bag and $10 and had the challenge of getting clothes for whatever type of scarecrow their group was going to create.
Groups used teamwork skills to talk and agree on what clothing to buy and they used math skills to add up their items before going to the check out. Thankfully the thrift store had some great choices for very reasonable prices! We are excited to move on to the next part of the challenge...

What is Club 4/5?
We appreciate that our older group of children might want to do different things than the rest of the program and it is our hope that Club 4/5 will offer the perfect mix of “older” activities but still allow for ample opportunity for our older group to model appropriate behavior to our younger crowd.
