Hockey is so last season..... at least that's what it looked like when we asked what the kids wanted to play and they all cheered for lacrosse! This particular game had the kids practicing their throwing, catching, and teamwork skills together. Again, nobody was interested in scoring or perfect teams and they even rotated goalies to give everyone a chance at full participation.

For art this morning we did finger painting. We put on our paint shirts, got some paper and paints and we went to work. The boys and girls dipped their fingers in the paint and painted on their papers. We had some children who had lots of painting ideas. They were really enjoying creating some very nice art pieces.
It's everybody out this morning and we've got ourselves a game of soccer baseball on the go. The game is essentially played the same as baseball but instead of hitting a ball with a bat, you kick a ball with your foot. All it takes is one great kick to send you running around the bases. Just make sure not to be caught off base. If you are...You're Out!
-Andrew Our hot sunny day in the forest was amazing. The kids had different activities under the shade. They cooked their favourite menus; salad with lasagna. The boys sat under their shelter that they built and they were talking about video games and shows.
This week in the forest an animal track scavenger hunt was set up for the kids to try. Seven plastic tiles with animal tracks imprinted on them were hidden around the forest. A list of the different animals that the tracks belonged to were made to help the children keep track of the different animals that they find. The kids enjoyed searching for the different animal tracks and exploring the forest.
We were doing art using yarn dipped in paint. We put the yarn between two pieces of paper and pulled it through. As you can see, some turned out looking like flowers. Then we decorated the patterns.
Soccer and baseball have been very popular during "Everybody Out" and many of the kids play these sports outside of school & daycare. On this day I pulled out an old classic, Soccer Baseball, and we all had a blast cheering each other on. No official teams or scoring meant everyone had a chance to try, learn, and enjoy the activity together.
Outside on the tarmac, a group of kids and I played ping pong. We had six cups in a line and we stand six feet away from the cups and bounce the balls to get them in the cups. The kids enjoy the game even though it was challenging getting the balls in, it also help them with their coordination and gross motor skills running back and forth to get the balls.
Winnie This time in the gym, the children were intersted in playing soccer and line tag. The most popular game this week was elimination dodgeball. They loved it a lot, myself too. The reason why they love elmination dodgeball is because once you get hit you are out of the game until the game starts again.
