Scarecrow building was a huge success! The groups got back into their "buying" teams and created their scarecrows. These were the club 4/5 final creations, a job well done!

On Wednesday Club 4/5 took a walk to the thrift store to gather materials for a scarecrow building competition they will be having on Friday.
Groups split into "girls team and boys team", grabbed a reusable bag and $10 and had the challenge of getting clothes for whatever type of scarecrow their group was going to create. Groups used teamwork skills to talk and agree on what clothing to buy and they used math skills to add up their items before going to the check out. Thankfully the thrift store had some great choices for very reasonable prices! We are excited to move on to the next part of the challenge... The children split themselves into groups and had the choice to either design a product or find one in the room. Each group performed a skit for the product as a commercial.
Club 4/5 has been counting down the moments until they could open up the new game "pie face". It was worth the wait! Check out these photos: and enjoy this video to give you the "you had to be there" experience! |
